Fritzberg

The Fritzberg brand has its origin in its founder company Fritz Gaitri, established in 1992. Fritz Gaitri made its foray into the Indian garment industry at a time when the industry was still fragmented and unorganized, an ideal setting for a pair of dynamic entrepreneurs Naveen and Sanjeev Sainani to create waves in the business.

After studying the market closely the duo started applying a scientific approach to help fashion labels leverage their brand equity and effectively penetrate the Indian market. Their endeavor was a great success and the company started to lend its expertise to a large portfolio of brands like Blackberry, Lee cooper, USI, a business relationship that thrived for almost a decade.

Fritz Gaitri has established itself as an innovative apparel marketing and distribution company, offering poly-services to the industry. It employs an Internet based Supply Chain Management software, using which retailers can place and follow-up on the status of their orders online. This automation, along with the company’s ability to keep pace with changing times without compromising on customer needs, is what helps Fritz Gaitri consistently service the retail trade efficiently and effectively.

Fritzberg - Branded apparel

In 1999, the Indian apparel market witnessed a metamorphosis of sorts with the entry of large format stores and Multi Brand Outlets (MBOs). This changing scenario presented both, a need for reinvention and an opportunity, a prospect that the company was well placed to turn to its own advantage. The time was right for Fritz Gaitri, with its apparel marketing and distribution expertise, to step into the retail business. The company identified a niche market in the 100% cotton and round neck T-shirt segment, and this marked the birth of a new brand Fritzberg with the consumer promise - Contemporary look at an affordable price. Operations began in 2001, and by coupling their keen sense of fashion with best in the trade technology, Naveen and Sanjeev successfully launched this new brand of urban youth wear into the Indian market.

Today, with a dedicated team of about 70 people, offices in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chandigarh and Kolkata, an existing dealer network in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, North East, Chennai, South India, Punjab, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore, Fritzberg apparel is available in 167 outlets and large format stores such as Central, Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Benzer and Options, not to mention a large number of MBOs.

By transitioning from a manufacturer to a retail brand, Fritzberg is now able to deliver the price benefit of owning this high quality apparel to its loyal customers. The brand has segmented its range with a view to educating customers about fashion trends, venturing into categories like youth, special prints, active, lounge wear, club wear and trendsetter.

Fritzberg has partnered with Lycra and is experimenting with various forms of this versatile fabric in pursuit of continually supplying the Indian market with contemporary expressions of fashion.
